Mission

To serve our community, foster the development of the whole person, and the enhancement of professional standards within the discipline. We take steps to achieve our mission through numerous community outreach programs, caregiving opportunities, and through professionalism that we convey in all acts of service.

Purpose

To assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality healthcare; to provide programs representative of fundamental and current professional interests and concerns; to aid in the development of the whole student, his or her professional role, and his or her responsibility for the healthcare of people in all walks of life.

The Student Nursing Association is a non-profit organization at Midwestern State University. We are a constituent of the National Student Nurse's Association and the Texas Student Nurse Association. There are many schools of thought that nursing associations across the country embrace, but we have a philosophy of service that places our community as the highest priority. We lay our foundation on personal growth of our members and providing care to the community we serve.
